BI Publisher template

Job property file

PGP-encrypted extract for a partner

The reflex is to choose Import Bulk Data into Oracle ERP Cloud, which also runs an ESS import job and produces output nobody asked for.

The third action on the same Actions page, Send Files to ERP Cloud, just uploads. Most teams never notice it.

One question picks the action

Does this call need Fusion to run something, or only to store something?

An ERP Cloud Adapter connection with the Invoke role offers exactly three actions:

Query, Create, Update, or Delete Information

Import Bulk Data into Oracle ERP Cloud

Send Files to ERP Cloud

If Fusion must execute, use the first two; if it only needs to store, the third.

Two mandatory fields, one intersection

The Operations page makes you select Security Group and Document Account before the endpoint saves.

Security Group

Every file on the content server belongs to a security group; permissions assigned to roles control access. The Fusion Applications default is FAFusionImportExport.

Document Account

Every content item has an account, and you need permission on it, such as read or write.

These fields are not interchangeable: access to the uploaded document is the intersection between account permissions and security group permissions. That is why a perfectly good file fails on the wrong pair.

Encrypt the File lives on the connection

This checkbox encrypts the file before upload to UCM. It is selectable only when PGP Public Key for UCM Upload was checked during connection configuration on the Connections page. Greyed out in the wizard? No mapper workaround exists. Reconfigure the connection, then return.

What comes back

A successful upload returns a document ID for downstream processing, for example the upload step of a two-integration design. The Operations-page choices are not frozen: security group and document account can be overridden at runtime by hard-coding new values in the mapper that receives the file reference.

Choose in one glance
